This is a practical hands-on workshop aimed at beginners. It’s designed to get you on the path to using your DSLR or mirrorless digital camera with full understanding and creative control.
Move away from ‘Auto’ and learn how and when to use your cameras other modes to capture personal and unique photographs.

Cool stuff you’ll learn:

  • The different functions and what all the buttons are on your camera

  • Camera modes and when to use them (aperture/shutter/manual)

  • Shutter speed (freezing & blurring motion)

  • Aperture (Depth of Field)

  • ISO, Exposure Triangle, Metering modes & White Balance

  • Auto Focus settings

  • Image quality and file formats

  • Composition

  • Lens & gear choice

We believe people learn best in small groups, so everyone can get the individual attention they require, which is why our workshops are limited to 6 people. And a second tutor will be present where the group size is 6-12.

Each participant will also get a booklet of workshop notes for future reference and note-taking (recommended for DSLR or mirrorless cameras only). Lunch is not included. There is a café on site where you can purchase lunch, or please bring your own.
